Polished Concrete has high durability, easy maintenance, will not harbor dust or allergens. Polished concrete has a reputation to be considered slippery because of its shine, that is not the case. Polished concrete is often used in retail stores, warehouses, residential homes, hotels and many other establishments. There are no harsh chemicals that get coated on the floor to give it its shine. Polished concrete is achieved by mechanically grinding the floor until the desired shine is achieved. Almost any structurally sound concrete floor, whether old or new, can be polished with proper preparation. However, there are some exceptions.
